What is Electrical Energy?
Electrical energy is used to throughout the world to power devices, appliances and method of transportation utilized in daily life. To operate things, electrical energy must be emitted from energy sources such as powerplants to enable an object to consume the power it needs to function. It can be used for running computers and most appliances, home heating and even transportation.
Electrical energy is very versatile as it can be easily converted into many other different form of energy. For example lamp, light bulb or LED(Light Emitting Diode) which converts electrical energy into light energy and heat (thermal) energy.
Uses of Electricity:-
1. In Entertainment: The MP-3 player, the portable battery powered radio, memory stick are all accepted as core ports of our day to day lives, all depends on electricity to operate, whether connected to a mains or a power source like battery, they all use electricity.
2. Healthcare Sector: Electrical energy can be used for operating modern technologies everyday. These surgical operation would not even start without electricity. For example :- the doctors need a powerful light during an operation on a patient and without electricity, the light would not function, and operation can prove fatal.
3. Commercial Uses: Many Commercial building like workplaces, hospitals, education centers, restaurants, shopping malls, government properties, police stations etc. use electricity.
4. In Engineering: Construction of buildings and structures for the convenience of people require electricity in every step. Building houses, installing gates and windows welding of materials require current electricity to operate the machine.
5. In Office: The most of the things in office run on electricity. The light, lifts, AC coffee machine, ID card reader, biometric scanner and everything else requires electricity.
